オプトアウト研究に関するお知らせ　Opt-out Research Notice

本通知は、2021年度にオンライン科目 ECA Pleasure Reading A（オンライン授業）を履修し、現在は聖学院大学を卒業または離籍している方を対象としています。
本研究は、「オンライン多読の経年変化：X-Readingデータに基づく複数年横断研究」と題し、2021年度から2025年度に収集されたX-Readingの学習ログデータを用いて、学習者の読解流暢性および読解力の発達を検証するとともに、デジタル多読ツールとしてのX-Readingの長期的な有効性を明らかにすることを目的としています。
 
本研究で使用するデータは、総読語数、クイズ得点、読書活動などの学習記録を含む既存の二次データであり、新たなデータ収集は行いません。分析にあたっては、氏名やメールアドレス等の個人を特定できる情報を削除したうえで、符号化および匿名化処理を行い、個人が特定されないよう配慮します。また、本研究への参加・不参加が成績に影響することは一切ありません（当該科目は既に終了しています）。
 
本研究ではオプトアウト方式を採用しています。データの利用を希望されない場合は、2026年4月28日から2026年5月18日までの期間中に、氏名、学籍番号、および履修年度を明記のうえ、下記の連絡先までメールにてご連絡ください。ご連絡をいただいた場合、当該データは研究対象から除外いたします。本オプトアウト研究通知は上記期間中に有効とし、2026年5月18日以降の申し出については無効となります。

This research notice is intended for students who completed ECA Pleasure Reading A (online class) in 2021 and have since graduated from or left Seigakuin University.
The researcher is conducting a study titled “Online Extensive Reading Over Time: A Multi-Year Cross-Sectional Study of X-Reading Data.” This study uses X-Reading log data collected from 2021 to 2025 to examine students’ reading development, including reading fluency and comprehension. It also aims to investigate the long-term effectiveness of X-Reading as a digital reading tool.
 
The secondary data used in this study include learning records such as total word count, quiz scores, and reading activity. No new data will be collected. Personal information such as names and email addresses will be removed prior to analysis, and all data will be coded and anonymised to ensure that individuals cannot be identified. Participation or non-participation will have no impact on your academic grades, as the course has already been completed.
 
This study adopts an opt-out method. If you do not wish your data to be used, please contact the researcher by email between April 28 and May 18, 2026. Please include your name, student ID, and the year you completed the course for verification. Your data will then be excluded from the study. This Opt-out Research Notice is valid only during the period stated above, and requests submitted after May 18, 2026 will not be accepted.
